BASE, CUT, & MEG

Coaching adjustments don't carry over from the menu into dynasty, so I tinkered with setting up macros to act as my de-facto coach settings.

I setup a "Base" macro with all of my preferred settings defensive settings. For things like "Zone Strategy", "Plaster", "Plaster Timing", "Ballhawk", and the various Read Option & RPO settings that would normally be set as a baseline.​

Then realized there was an opportunity to incorporate mass coverage checks into just a few macros. Typically with coaching adjustments you can only set your coverage checks "in the huddle" and wouldn't be able to adjust them once you break the huddle.

But incorporating checks for each of the 18 situations, both primary & secondary, into the macros, allows for such an insane amount of flexibility. Allowing you to swap in & out of coverage checks on-the-fly and seamlessly. As long as you know where each coverage check lives within your macros, you can remain unfathomably hard to read.​

 

After a bunch of practice mode, I eventually narrowed them down, and settled on a set of 3 macros to start. Organized in a way that works best for me & my workflow. These will be the macros I will be using, and referencing when I eventually put out my Macdonald/Seahawks & Minter/Ravens defenses, as they'll be similar in structure but with unique differences.
